Funeral services for Glenn Tenley, 74, retired Stanwood farmer, were held at the Methodist church in Stanwood Sept. 12 with burial in the Stanwood cemetery.

Mr. Tenley died at University hospital, Iowa City, Sept. 10.

The son of William and Orpha Tenley, he was born May 17, 1899 and graduated from Stanwood high school and attended Iowa State University.

He was married to Florence Spear at Stanwood Feb. 22, 1922. They farmed until his retirement.

He was a veteran of World War I, a member of the Methodist church and Masonic lodge at Stanwood, the American Legion, the Stanwood Park commission and the ASCS committee.

He is survived by his wife; a daughter, Mrs. Joseph Gamble, Mechanicsville; a son, James, Stanwood; 5 grandchildren; a great-grandchild and 2 brothers, Forrest and Howard, both of Stanwood.

He was preceded in death by a grandchild, and 2 sisters, Mrs. Eva Hotz and Ora Tenley.
