Funeral services for Mrs. Mae Pohlmann Sharp, 50, were held Aug. 20 at the Frick Funeral home, Durant with the Rev. L. Jack Ehlers officiating. Burial was in the Durant cemetery.

Mrs. Sharp, Washington, D.C., died Aug. 2 in Berne, Switzerland, as a result of an auto accident while on an assignment for the U.S. Senate Department.

She was born near Bennett Dec. 8, 1922, the daughter of Thomas and Meta Pohlmann. She graduated from Bennett high school and Augustana College. She had been with the State Department for the past 20 years.

Surviving are a son, Phillip Sharp, Washington, D.C.; 2 brothers, Willie Pohlmann, Bennett and Leonard Pohlmann, Durant; 4 sisters, Mrs. Leona Harmon, Galesburg, Ill., Mrs. Clarence (Nora) Allison, East Moline, Ill., Mrs. Elsie Riggers, Gary, Ind., and Mrs. Grant (June) Olson, Bode.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother and a sister.
