Funeral services for Mrs. Libbie Kadera, 79, were held at the West Branch Methodist church Aug. 6 with burial in the Oasis cemetery. Mrs. Kadera died at a Mt. Vernon nursing home Aug. 3, following a long illness.

The daughter of John and Barbara Cukel, she was born in Linn county Sept. 28, 1893. She was married to Joseph Kadera at the Little Brown church, Nashua, Oct.7, 1926.

She and her husband lived all their lives in the Oasis community. She was a member of the West Branch United Methodist church WSCS and the Eastern Star.

She is survived by a son, Myron J., West Branch; a daughter, Mrs. Merle (Doris) Thimmes, Mechanicsville; a grandson; a sister, Mrs. Aldrich (Sylvia) Castek, Swisher and a brother, Lumir Cukel, Cedar Rapids.
