Services for Walter Edward Leib, 91, Tipton, were held at 10 a.m. June 27 at Sheets & Son Funeral Home.

Dr. Glenn Parrott conducted the service and Mrs. Arnold Swan was organist. Pallbearers were William Parker, James Parker, DeWayne Ailey, Ernest Albaugh, Harry Wehde and Alfred Rogers. Honorary pallbearers were Mearl Brown, Horace Walton, Frank Walton, Louis Stoltenberg and Dr. C. H. Banks. Mr. and Mrs. Louis Thordsen and Mr. and Mrs. WIlliam Dinse were in charge of flowers.

Mr. Leib died June 24 at St. Luke's hospital, Cedar Rapids, following an extended illness. He was born March 25, 1882 at Chambersburg, Pa., to Henry and Sarah Weaver Leib. He attended the Chambersburg schools and was married Feb. 14, 1907 to Thetda Cook in Tipton. She preceded him in death and he married Lieila Parlier March 29, 1932 at Mechanicsville. He was a retired farmer and lived in Tipton the past 23 years. He was a member of the United Church of Christ.

Survivors include his wife, two daughters, Mrs. Howard (Marion) Parker, Tipton and Mrs. Fred (Jessie) Rogers, Laramie, Wyo.; 1 son, John Leib, Americus, Ga.; eight grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife, a son, 3 brothers and 6 sisters.
