Funeral services for Mrs. Effie M. Jarr, 85, were held at Wilton Jan. 18 with the Rev. Garth Baker officiating. Burial was in Oakdale cemetery.

Mrs. Jarr died Jan. 16 at a Wilton nursing home following an extended illness.

The daughter of Fred and Mary Bankert Feltman she was born in Iowa Sept. 27, 1887 and was a life-long resident of Wilton.

April 24, 1907 she married Herman Jarr in Cedar county. She was a homemaker and a member of Zion Lutheran church of Wilton.

Surviving are a sister, Mrs. Pearl Martin, Wilton and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband and two brothers.
