Last rites for Harry Lawrence Adams, 84, were held at the Sheets and Son funeral home Jan. 22 with V. F. Stamp officiating. Burial was in the cemetery at the Soldier's home, Marshalltown. Mrs. Irma Crawford was organist. There was a presentation of the flag by the Tipton VFW post at the gravesite.

Mr. Adams died at the Cedar county home Jan. 18, following a heart attack.

The son of Henry and Mattie Baker Adams, he was born near Tipton July 14, 1888 and was married to Bertha Eakland. A farm laborer, he lived in the Tipton area all of his life. He was a veteran of World War I and a member of the Tipton post of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.

He is survived by 3 sisters, Mrs. Vesta Young, Mrs. Walter (Josephine) Statts and Mrs. Paul (Ruth) Sindt, all of Tipton. He was preceded in death by 2 brothers and 3 sisters.
