Last rites for John Kinard Casad, 59, Moline, Ill., a former Tipton resident, were held Sept. 14 with burial in National cemetery, Rock Island Arsenal. Mr. Casad died at Moline Public hospital Sept. 11 following a long illness.

The son of J. R. and Rose Wisener Casad, he was born at Tipton March 11, 1911. He married Jeanice Jenkins in Moline, May 14, 1948.

He had been employed at the Rock Island Arsenal since 1942. He was the general foreman of the roads and the grounds. He was the past superintendent of National cemetery. He was also the game warden on Arsenal Island.

He was a veteran of World War II, a past master of Cedar Lodge No. 11, AF & AM, Tipton, a past president and trustee of the Moline Turners and was on the ritualistic divan of Kaaba Temple, Davenport.

Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Mrs. William Graham, Davenport; and 2 grandchildren.
