Funeral services for John Ferdinand Baguss Sr., 78, were held at Trinity Lutheran church Aug. 26 with the Rev. Roger Fisher officiating. Burial was in the Tipton Masonic cemetery.

Pallbearers were his grandsons, Gerald Lee, Charles and Gerald Baguss, John and James Frey and Harold Kotesky. Mrs. Duane Hanna was organist and Mr. and Mrs. Dale Ehresman were in charge of flowers.

Mr. Baguss died in the Osteopathic hospital at Grand Rapids, Mich. He had been making his home in Casnovia, Mich.

The son of Ferdinand and Anna Magdalean Fedderman Baguss, he was born in Schleswig-Holstien, Germany Feb. 20, 1892 and was educated in the school of that area. He was married to Juliana Josef Falk in Denmark Aug. 8, 1919.

A resident of Tipton since 1933 he was a cobbler and shoe merchant in Tipton until he retired. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran church.

He is survived by 3 sons, John Jr., Casnovia, Mich.; Chris, Muier, Mich.; Gerhardt, Tipton; 2 daughters, Mrs. Victor (Metha) Adams, Davenport and Mrs. Albert (Eva) Stauffer, Hastings, Mich.; 29 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren and a brother. He was preceded in death by 2 brothers and a sister.
