Funeral services for Abram Peter Alyea, 54, were held at Indianapolis, Ind. May 23, with burial in the Washington park cemetery. He was the son of the late Rev. Abram Alyea and Mrs. Clara Alyea, Tipton.

Mr. Alyea died suddenly at his home May 20.

He was a mechanical engineer and general foreman of the power house of the Allison division of General Motor corporation where he worked for 27 years.

He was a veteran of the navy service during World War II, a member of the Speedway Masonic Lodge, the National Association of Power Engineer and a member of Christ Church Episcopal cathedral.

He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Helen G. Alyea, 3 sons, Michael, Robert and George, all of Indianapolis; his mother, Mrs. Clara Alyea, Tipton; 5 brothers, Charles, Waterloo; Harry, Dixon; Harold, Covington, Ind.; John, Cheyenne, Wyo. and Paul, Glenwood, Ind. and a sister, Mrs. Selma Edler, Tipton and 3 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father and a brother, Robert.
