Funeral services for Mrs. Anna Burton, 85, were held April 18 at the Chapman Funeral home with Gordon Smith officiating. Burial was in the Clarence cemetery. Pallbearers were Dale Sheldon, Kenneth Morehead, Ivan Collins and Melvin Collins with music by Mrs. Robert Hasselbusch.

Mrs. Burton died at the Americana Nursing home, Davenport, April 16.

She was born at Clarence Feb. 24, 1885 the daughter of Samuel and Mary Kinney Layton. She was married to Lewis Burton on Jan. 9, 1902 at Lost Nation. He preceded her in death.

Survivors are a daughter, Mrs. Elna Dohrman, Davenport, one granddaughter, Mrs. Marvin Horn, Clarence; 2 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
