Last rites for William Rohse, 84, Durant, were held at Durant April 25, with burial in the Durant cemetery.

Mr. Rohse died at the home of a daughter-in-law, Mrs. Dan Rohse, Iowa City, April 23. He had been making his home in Iowa City.

The son of John and Mathilda Rohse, he was born March 7, 1886 in Scott county. He married Alma Bartscher Feb. 17, 1909 in Davenport. The couple had farmed near Bennett until 1949, when they retired and moved to Durant.

Surviving are a sister, Mrs. Mabel Goettsch, Davenport; and 2 grandchildren. Preceding him in death were his parents, his wife and a son, Dr. Dan Rohse.
