Funeral services for Mrs. Elenore (Nora) Carl Foster, 85, Anamosa, were June 22 at the Sheets and Son funeral home with burial in Tipton Masonic cemetery. The services were conducted by the Rev. Paul Showalter, with Mrs. Donald Parker vocalist, accompanied by Criag Kruse.

Mrs. Foster died at the Anamosa Community hospital after a short illness. She was born March 17, 1885 at Wilton Junction, the daughter of August and Carolyn Brammeier Wacker and educated in the German Lutheran schools at Wilton Junction. She was married to Clarence J. Carl Feb. 17, 1907, at Wilton Junction and in 1950 to Harry Foster at Rock Island, Ill. She was a retired practical nurse and had lived in Anamosa for the past 20 years.

She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran church, Stanwood, and a past member of the Tipton American Legion auxiliary.

Survivors include 2 daughters, Mrs. Darrell (Genevieve) Meredith, Anamosa and Mrs. Albert (Beatrice) Shaffer, Davenport; 2 sisters, Della Wacker, Wilton Junction and Mrs. Edith Stoll, Lincoln, Ill.; a brother, Edwin Wacker, Wilton Junction; 3 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by Mr. Carl in 1935, an infant daughter, 3 brothers and 2 sisters.

Pallbearers were Carl Crispin, Harry Wehde, Walter Rismiller, Grant White, Francis Mahoney and Carl Frederick.
