Funeral services for Mrs. Myrtle Stuart, 82, West Branch were June 22 at the George L. Gay Funeral home in West Branch with the Rev. John Moore officiating. Burial was in the West Branch cemetery.

Mrs. Stuart died at Mercy hospital in Iowa City June 19 following a sudden illness. She was born Jan. 4, 1888 in Tipton, the daughter of Jacob and Nancy Wisener Sheets, and married to Robert Leroy Stuart Sept. 19, 1907 at Tipton. She was a long-time resident of the West Branch area and had been a dressmaker.

She was a member of the Methodist church, a 5-year member of the Order of the Eastern Star and a charter member of the Home Social club. Survivors include 3 sons, Robert of Colby, Wis., Kenneth of Iowa City and Paul of Riverside; 2 daughters, Mrs. Harold (Maxine) White of West Branch and Mrs. Harold (Hazel) Romaine of West Liberty; 10 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. Her husband, 3 brothers and a sister died earlier.
