Final rites for Fred P. Dresselhaus, 86, were held at the Dye Funeral home June 17, with the Rev. Ernest Lauer officiating. Burial was in Inland cemetery, Bennett.

Pallbearers were Ralph Ripson, C. W. Pollock, Earl Eggert, Henry Fullriede, Delmar Bachus and George Dresselhaus. Mrs. Irma Crawford was organist.

Mr. Dresselhaus died at a Davenport nursing home June 15 following a long illness.

The son of August and Wilhemine Schlueter Dresselhaus, he was born at Bennett Feb. 18, 1884 and received his education at Bennett and Lowden and Brownes Business college in Davenport. He was married to Lydia Rixe at Bennett Dec. 17, 1912.

A meat cutter at the Bennett locker plant until he retired, he lived in the Bennett area most of his life. He was a member of the Evangelical and Reformed church.

He is survived by a daughter and a son, Louise and Ralph, both of Davenport, 3 grandchildren and a niece that he raised, Mrs. Rosalie Hamilton Trinka and several other nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, 5 brothers and a sister.
