Services were June 6 for Mrs. Anna Mabel Wilkerson, 86, of Springdale who died June 4 at the Cedar Manor Nursing home in Tipton. The Rev. Roger Tappmeyer officiated at the rites at the Springdale United Methodist church, with burial at Peedee cemetery.

The daughter of John and Martha Jane Burroughs, she taught in the rural schools of Cedar county for 18 years.

She was born Feb. 6, 1884 in Marshall county, but had spent most of her life in Cedar county. She was married to Robert Lee Wilkerson March 15, 1926 at Tipton. Mrs. Wilkerson was a member of the Springdale United Methodist church and the WSCS.

Surviving are her husband, a son, Marvin Wilkerson, a step-son, LaMar Wilkerson, both of West Branch; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Louise Clemmons of Atalissa; 10 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
