Funeral services for Mrs. E. F. "Mame" Hokenson, 79, lifetime resident of Tipton, were June 8 at the Sheets and Son Funeral home with burial in Tipton Masonic cemetery. Mrs. Hokenson died at Cedar Manor Nursing home June 6 after a short illness. The Rev. Eugene Miller officiated with Mrs. Irma Crawford, organist. Pallbearers were Robert Agne, Jerry Agne, Milo Agne, William Agne and Melvin Derynck. Mrs. William Brinkman and Mrs. Leonard Schwitzer were in charge of flowers.

The daughter of Henry and Anna Jane Geller Agne, she was born June 10, 1890 in Tipton and educated in the Tipton schools. She was married at Tipton April 23, 1927 to Emil F. (Barney) Hokenson. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran church, Open Prairie Chapter DAR and the Tipton American Legion auxiliary.

Surviving are her husband and a daughter, Mrs. Don (Helene) Welty and a grandson, Bill Welty, Tipton and a nephew and 2 nieces.
