June 4, 1970 - The Tipton Conservative

Services were June 1 at the Tipton Methodist church for Mrs. George Laucamp, 74, Tipton, who died May 30 at Mercy hospital, Iowa City. The Rev. Eugene Miller was in charge of services, with Dr. C. O. Christianson accompanied by Mrs. Irma Crawford.

Dye Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

The daughter of Birdie Mae Barkhurst and Chester Arthur Osborn, Millie M. Osborn was born Dec. 20, 1895 at Rochester. She was educated in the Rochester school and affiliated with the Rochester Methodist church before marriage.

Her marriage to George A. Laucamp took place Jan. 8, 1914. The couple farmed until 1944 near Sunbury. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a son, 3 grandsons and a granddaughter.

Survivors include 3 daughters, Mrs. John (Mable) Lamp, Tipton; Mrs. Everett (Mildred) Whitmer, Walcott; Mrs. Helen Buck, Bend, Ore.; 2 sons, George C., Tipton and Mearl A. Muscatine; 6 sisters, Mrs. Pearl Conklin, West Liberty; Mrs. Frank (Ethel) Scott and Mrs. Bonita Hoy, both of Davenport; Mrs. Arnold (Wilma) Hennings, Tipton; Mrs. Russell (Louise) Gallentine, Alhambra, Calif., and Mrs. George (Cloe) Hasley, Norwalk, Calif. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Rich Batchelor, Larry Mathias, Larry Hartig, Dick Dittmer, Don Manatrey and Garry Merdink. Mr. and Mrs. Arlyn Holden were in charge of flowers.
