Final rites for John B. (Pete) Henderson, 69, Bennett, were held at the Sheets and Son Funeral home May 29 with the Rev. Eugene Miller officiating. Pallbearers were Don Welty, J. S. Hall, Eugene Hancock, Carl Frederick, L. W. Meyer and Earl Eggert. Masonic services were conducted May 28.

Mrs. Ernest Riedesel was organist and Mrs. Harold Smith, Mrs. Ralph Andresen and Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Bauer were in charge of flowers.

Mr. Henderson died at Mercy hospital, Davenport May 27 following a short illness.

The son of John and Minnie Wooden Henderson, he was born in Tipton Aug. 10, 1900 and was educated in the Tipton schools. He was married to Helen Reeve Dec. 31, 1931 in Morrison, Ill. She preceded him in death in 1957. He was married to Eleanor Wiemann at Tipton Sept, 9, 1961.

He was a Tipton resident until 1961 and operated a garage in Tipton and later in Bennett.

He was a member of the Tipton Masonic lodge, the Kaba Shrine and the Consistory at Clinton.

He is survived by his wife, a brother, Jack, Wheatland and a sister, Mrs. Blanche Willey, Tipton. He was preceded in death by a sister.
