Funeral services for Mrs. Myrtle Mae Johnson, 78, Mechanicsville, were held at the Morgan Funeral home in Lisbon with the Rev. West of Garrison officiating. Burial was in Rose Hill cemetery at Mechanicsville. Pallbearers were grandsons of Mrs. Johnson.

Mrs. Johnson died at the Evergreen Nursing home in Marion May 22, following a long illness.

The daughter of Andrew and Mary Jane Adams Boyd, she was born in Cedar county Oct. 13, 1891 and was educated in the Cedar county schools. She was married to Frank Johnson at Cedar Rapids Nov. 10, 1919.

Mr. and Mrs. Johnson spent their married life in and near Mechanicsville. He died in 1964. Recently Mrs. Johnson had been living in a nursing home.

She is survived by 4 sons, Lee W. and Willard, Mechanicsville; Leonard L., Garrison, Minn., and John O., Lisbon; 3 daughters, Mrs. Louise Rudd, Central City, Mrs. Doris Niles, Wilton, and Mrs. Mary Lou Schaffer, Robins; 29 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, 3 sisters and a brother. She was preceded in death by her husband and 3 sons.
