Last rites for Mrs. Saraetta Mitchell, 90, formerly of West Branch, were held in west Branch May 22, with burial in the West Branch cemetery. Mrs. Mitchell died in an Aurora, Ill. nursing home May 19 after an extended illness.

Mrs. Mitchell was born Oct. 16, 1879, at West Branch, a daughter of Nicholas and Lydia Larson. She was married to George W. Mitchell on May 6, 1906, in Los Angeles.

She was a member of the Friends church at West Branch and of the WCTU.

Surviving are 6 sons, Marvin G., Denver, Colo.; Verl S., Aurora; Edward C., Sandwich, Ill.; Russell N., Madison, Wis.; Clyde L., Fort Wayne, Ind., and Clifford S., Rockford, Ill.; a daughter, Mrs. Harland (Lydia) Hoeft, Aurora; 19 grandchildren, and 23 great-grandchildren.
