Funeral services for Mrs. Mabel E. Rorick, 72, Wilton, were held March 5, in Wilton, with the Rev. I. G. Wilkins officiating. Burial was in the Sharon cemetery.

Mrs. Rorick died at 2 p.m. March 2 at Mercy hospital in Iowa City after a short illness.

The daughter of Andrew and Lillian Bysom Whitmer, she was born Dec. 6, 1897, in Hatfield, Mo. She was a member of the Wilton Methodist church and had been a resident in Wilton for 40 years. On May 5, 1923 she married Will N. Rorick in Rock Island.

Surviving are her husband; a daughter, Mrs. Charles (Jean) Whetstone, Casy; a brother, Merritt Whitmer, Woodland, Tenn.; and 4 grandchildren.
