Last rites for Ruby Kensinger, 64, were held March 10 at the Sheets and Son funeral home with Gordon Smith officiating. Mrs. Max Phelps was organist. Percy and Alfred Whalen, Prentice York and Alvin Christiansen were pallbearers.

Miss Kensinger died at the Utopia nursing home March 8, following a long illness.

The daughter of John Frank and Lucy Crawford Kensinger she was born near Tipton Aug. 24, 1905 and was educated in the rural schools of Cedar county and the Tipton school. She was a life resident of the Tipton area.

She is survived by 4 cousins, Mrs. Mearl (Marie) Christian, John (Heinie) Kensinger and Mrs. William (Maude) Naber, all of Tipton; Mrs. Alvin (Blanche) Christiansen, West Branch; a brother-in-law, Percy Whalen and a nephew, Alfred Whalen, both of Tipton. She was preceded in death by 2 sisters.
