Funeral services for Cora B. Mitchell, 86, were held in the Stanwood United Methodist church Feb. 21, with the Rev. James Nelson officiating. Burial was in the Stanwood cemetery.

Pallbearers were David and Dennis Pruess, Everett Oetting and Lorence Thien. Mrs. Wayne Brown was organist and Mrs. George Hoffner and Mrs. Elwood Hasselbusch were in charge of flowers.

Mrs. Mitchell died at the Clarence nursing home Feb. 19.

The daughter of Louis and Nellie Parsons Dahl, she was born in Jones county Jan. 29, 1883 and had lived in the Stanwood community for 45 years.

She is survived by a son, Dwight, Muskegon, Mich.; 3 daughters, Mrs. Lydon (Ruth) Van Nest, Jackson, Mich.; Mrs. Lyndon (Berniece) Pierce, Hernando, Miss. and Mrs. Glenn (Margaret) Pruess, Clarence; 12 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
