Funeral services for Mrs. Augusta Beyer, 94, were held at the Sheets and Son funeral home Feb. 14 with the Rev. Paul Mueller officiating. David Brockmeyer was organist. Singing was by the congregation of her church. A second service was held at St. John's Lutheran church, Romona, S.D. where burial was held in St. John's cemetery.

Mrs. Beyer died at Mercy hospital, Davenport, following a short illness, Feb. 11.

The daughter of Bernhardt and Wilhelmina Borchardt Hannemann, she was born Oct. 28, 1875 at Hamburgh, Wis. and was educated in the rural schools of Marathon county, Wis. She was married to Wilhelm Beyer at Ramona, S.D. She had been a resident of Bennett for 6 years and was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran church in Bennett.

She is survived by 3 sons, Emil, Ramona, S.D.; Theodore, Winefred, S.D. and Oscar, Ramona, S.D.; a daughter, Mrs. Nick (Erma) Griebel, Bennett; 26 grandchildren, 65 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Ludewika Freeze, Ramona, S.D. and a brother, Paul Hannemann, Madison, S.D.

She was preceded in death by her husband, 2 sons, a daughter and a sister and brother.
