Funeral services for Mrs. Fred M. (Mary) Hawker, 57, will be held at the United Methodist church in Tipton at 2 p.m. Feb. 13, with the Rev. Eugene Miller officiating. Visitation will begin at 7:30 p.m. today (Thursday) at Sheets & Son Funeral home.

Mrs. Hawker was found dead in her home Feb. 10.

According to her wishes, the body will be taken to University hospitals, Iowa City, for medical research.

Survivors include her husband, Fred M., Saigon, Vietnam; 2 sons, Fred J., Pella and Dwight, Tipton; a daughter, Mrs. Neil (Margo) Rogers, Iowa, La.; and a brother, Dwight M. Hooten, Wheaton, Ill.

Services for Mrs. Fred Hawker, 56, were held at First United Methodist church Feb. 13 with the Rev. Eugene Miller officiating. Burial will be held at a later date in Oakridge cemetery, West Liberty. Mrs. Irma Crawford was organist.

Pallbearers were James Hamilton, Larry Armstrong, Claire Foote, Edwin Klinkkammer, Harold Davis Jr. and Dale Ehresman.

Mrs. Hawker died at her home in Tipton Feb. 10.

The daughter of Dwight W. and Beulah Schwab Hooten, she was born in Wawaka, Ind., March 10, 1913 and graduated from the Wawaka schools in 1931. She was married to Fred M. Hawker at Wawaka Oct. 27, 1934.

She had been a resident of Tipton since 1951. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, the Auxiliary of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, the Women of the Moose and the Tipton chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution. She was a member of the Methodist church and the WSCS of the church.

She is survived by her husband, Saigon, Vietnam; 2 sons, Fred J., Pella and Dwight, Tipton; a daughter, Mrs. Neil (Margo) Rogers, Iowa, La. and a brother, Dwight M. Hooten, Wheaton, Ill. She was preceded in death by her parents and 2 brothers.
