Funeral services for Elmer N. Martin, 60, were held Jan. 21 at the Stanwood United Presbyterian church. Pallbearers were Kenneth Smith, Melvin Thumma, Russell Rhoads, Edwin Davidson, Gerald Jones and Hans Christiansen.

Ralph Schenck, accompanied by Mrs. Edwin Davidson, was vocalist. Mrs. Kenneth Smith and Mrs. Leo Stahle were in charge of flowers. Burial was in the Cascade cemetery.

Mr. Martin died at his home in Stanwood Jan. 18, following a long illness.

Elmer Niblo Martin, son of William A. and Susan Niblo Martin, was born at Cascade March 22, 1903. He was married to Mary Beulah Tuel, June 22, 1937 at Stanwood. He came to Stanwood with his parents 40 years ago and has been engaged in farming ever since.

He is survived by his wife, Beulah, a daughter, Mrs. Roger (Mary Jane) Timm, Tipton; 2 grandsons, 4 brothers, William, Anamosa; Willis, Cedar Rapids and Robert and Harold, Cascade, and a sister, Ada Crocker, Lisbon.

He was preceded by a brother and a sister.
