Final rites for Fritz W. Kuehl, 71, were held at the South Bethel church Jan. 21 with the Rev. Jacob Van Mantgem officiating. Burial was in the South Bethel cemetery. Max Lauser was soloist and Mrs. Clare Nebergall was organist.

Pallbearers were Henry Mohr, Amos Mohr, Herbert Whitmer, Hilbert Whitmer, Robert Kretschmar, and Kenneth Nebergall. Mrs. Amos Mohr and Mrs. Ray Schwitzer were flower attendants.

Mr. Kuehl died at 1:55 p.m. Jan. 17 at Mercy hospital, Iowa City.

He was born June 18, 1898 in Cedar county and spent his life in the South Bethel area. He was married to Minnie F. Freese March 16, 1925 at Muscatine. He was a farmer and a member of the South Bethel church.

He is survived by his wife, a son, Kenneth F., Tipton; 3 daughters, Mrs. Kenneth (Darlene) Lamp, East Moline, Ill., Mrs. Richard (Alberta) Wagaman and Mrs. Herbert (Twylia) LaMaack, Wilton; a brother, Gus; 2 sisters, Mrs. Mary Whitmer, Moscow and Mrs. Lizzie Freese, Wilton; and 12 grandchildren.

A daughter, Mrs. Hubert Pelzer, a brother and 2 sisters preceded him in death.
