Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Idella Peden, 84, Springdale were held at the Springdale United Methodist church Nov. 29 with the Rev. Roger Tappmeyer officiating. Burial was in the Rochester cemetery.

Mrs. Peden died at St. Luke's hospital, Davenport Nov. 27 after a short illness.

The daughter of George and Susanna Whitmar Frymoyer, she was born Feb. 24, 1885 near Wilton. She married Israel R. Peden June 6, 1906. The couple farmed most of their lives in the Springdale area.

Surviving are 2 sons, George Peden, Atalissa and Henry Peden, Olin; 6 daughters, Mrs. Vernon (Mae) Oxley, Iowa City; Mrs. Edward (Florence) Ohrt, Monticello; Mrs. Clarence (Vera) Wilson, West Branch; and Mrs. Roy (Eva) Karns, Mrs. Roland (Violet) Kirkpatrick, and Mrs. Russell (Serena) Merton, all of Davenport; 2 brothers, Arch Frymoyer, Wilton and Ollie Frymoyer, Bloomfield; 31 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

Preceding her in death was her husband.
