Last rites for Mrs. Berniece Maurer, 73, will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 28 at the Dye Fuenral home. Visitation will begin at 3 p.m. Memorials may be made to the Heart Fund.

Mrs. Maurer died Nov. 21 at Monte Sano, Calif., following a stroke. Services were held at Forest Lawn, Glendale, Nov. 24.

Mrs. Maurer is survived by 2 daughters, Mrs. George (Evelyn) Straub, Tipton and Mrs. Cleo M. Daken, Arcadia, Calif.; a son, Leroy Gaul, Burlington; a sister, Mrs. Hazel Horn, Los Angeles, Calif. and 3 brothers, George Maurer, Pine Pluff, Ark. and Guy and Ray Maurer, Tipton.

Last rites for Bernice Maurer, 73, were held at the Dye Funeral home Nov. 28, with burial in the Tipton Masonic cemetery. The Rev. Ernest Lauer conducted the service. Mrs. Donald Parker was vocalist and Mrs. Arnold Swan organist. Mrs. Dave Cline was in charge of flowers.

Pallbearers were William Agne, Philip Hambright, William Thordsen, Lt. Rodney L. Straub, Steve C. Maurer and Monte Gaul.

Death followed a stroke Nov. 21 at Los Angeles, Calif. Rites were held in the Wee Kirk of the Heather church at Forest Lawn Memorial park Nov. 24.

The daughter of William and Margaret Dodt Maurer, she was born at Cedar Valley June 21, 1896 and was educated in the Cedar county schools. She was married to George P. Gaul at Clinton in July, 1916.

She is survived by 2 daughters, Mrs. George (Evelyn) Straub, Tipton and Mrs. Cleo M. Daken, Arcadia, Calif.; a son, Leroy Gaul, Burlington; a sister, Mrs. Hazel Horn, Highland Park, Los Angeles, Calif.; 3 brothers, Guy and Raymond, Tipton; and George Maurer, Pine Bluff, Ark.; 11 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Fern, and a brother, Herbert.
