October 23, 1969 - The Tipton Conservative

Final rites for Ruby Robson, 77, were held at the United Presbyterian church in Stanwood Oct. 20, with burial in the Stanwood cemetery. The Rev. Ralph Schenck officiated.

Pallbearers were Carl Kern, William Jensen, Russell Rhoads, Dillon and Gerald Jones and Raymond Klemme. Mrs. Edwin Davidson was organist and Mrs. John Swift vocalist. Mrs. E. L. Crist and Mrs. Max Coppess were in charge of flowers.

Miss Robson was found by neighbors Oct. 17 after there was no activity in her home during the day. She apparently died of a heart attack. She had been in ill health, but active, for several months.

The daughter of Henry and Rose Owens Robson, she was born at Clinton Dec. 19, 1891 and was graduated from Stanwood high school in 1911. She spent most of her life in the Stanwood area and was a school teacher and then a substitute rural mail carrier at Stanwood.

She was a member of the United Presbyterian church, the Stanwood Library board and the Cedar County Historical society.

Miss Robson was a correspondent for the Tipton Newspapers for many years and her news from Stanwood last appeared in the Tipton Advertiser Oct. 14.

She is survived by a sister, Mrs. Nellie Wilson, Lamberton, Minn., and several nieces and nephews.
