Last rites for Ernest T. Jensen, 66, a native of West Branch, were held in San Gabriel, Calif. Mr. Jensen became ill while visiting relatives in the Iowa City-West Branch area and died Oct. 5 in Mercy hospital, Iowa City.

The son of Lars and Laura Hanen Jensen, he was born in West Branch May 13, 1905 and graduated from West Branch high school. As a young man he moved to California.

He was married to Hazel Murphy July 2, 1925 in Los Angeles. They lived in Pasadena until 1957 when they moved to San Gabriel, Calif. He was a member of the Masonic lodge of San Gabriel.

He is survived by his wife, a daughter, Mrs. Joyce L. Olson, LaMarida, Calif.; 2 sisters, Mrs. Lillie Christensen, Monrovia, Calif. and Viola Jensen, Lancaster, Calif.; 2 brothers, Edward, Pasadena and Darl, Twin Falls, Idaho and 3 grandchildren.
