Funeral services for Albert Beatty, a native of Tipton, were held at the United Church of Christ in Graceville, Minn., Sept. 27. Mr. Beatty died at his home in Graceville Sept. 24.

Albert Neely Beatty was born Nov. 12, 1891 at Tipton. He spent his boyhood in Tipton, graduating from Tipton high school and from the University of Iowa Commerical school at Cedar Rapids.

He was married to Ethel Crist at Clinton, Minn., Nov. 3, 1920 and had lived in the Graceville area for 49 years. He retired from farming in 1951.

Mr. Beatty was a member of the United Church of Christ and the American Legion. He had served in France during World War I.

He is survived by his wife, Ethel; a son, George, Baton Rouge, La.; 3 grandsons; a cousin and 2 nieces.
