Funeral services for Mrs. William Plate, 70, Stanwood, will be held at Mary's church, Mechanicsville, at 9:30 a.m. Friday, Oct. 17 with burial in Rose Hill cemetery, Mechanicsville.

Mrs. Plate died Oct. 13 en route to a Cedar Rapids hospital after she became ill in her house.

The former Margaret Kruse was born in Olin and married to William Plate in Mechanicsville in 1921.

Mrs. Plate is survived by her husband, 3 sisters, Mrs. Francis Larsen, Omaha, Nebr.; Mrs. Charles Grell, Mrs. Frona Kline and Mrs. Martha Ward, all of Mechanicsville and Mrs. Ella York, Winterset, and a brother, Elmer Kruse, Tipton.
