Funeral services for PFC Dennis Ray Brauer, 18, son of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Brauer, were held Oct. 9 at the First Methodist church, Clarence, with the Rev. James Lusher officiating. Burial was in the Massillon Cemetery. The Lillis-Deerberg Legion post had charge of graveside rites.

Pallbearers were Larry and Gene Biddle, Frank Deverwaer, Richard Flemming, Gerald Brauer and Vern Cavey.

PFC Brauer died in his sleep at Fort Bragg, N.C., Oct. 4.

The son of Harold and Dorothy Flemming Brauer, he was born Oct. 3, 1951 in Jones county and attended the Lowden schools. He received his high school diploma after he was in service.

He entered the army Jan. 29, 1969.

He is survived by his parents, 4 brothers, Larry, Donald, Danny and Darrell and 3 sisters, Diane, Jacqueline and Debra.
