Services for Carl Leland Searan, 7 months, were held Oct. 4 at the Dye funeral home with the Rev. Loyd Osborn officiating. Burial was in the Tipton Masonic cemetery.

The son of Thomas Layton and Aletta Jane Burnett Searan, he was born in Cedar Rapids, Feb. 26, 1969.

He is survived by his parents, a sister, Cheryl Lynn, 2 brothers Thomas Layton and Ronald Lee; his paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Thomas Searan, Cedar Rapids and his maternal grandfather, Roland Burnett, Tipton.
