Funeral services for Mrs. Elizabeth (Bessie) Hambright, 91, will be held at the Dye Funeral home at 1:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 12 with the Rev. Eugene Miller officiating. Burial will be in the Tipton Masonic cemetery. Grandsons will be pallbearers.

Visitation will begin at the Dye Funeral home at 2 p.m. today (Thursday).

Mrs. Hambright died at Cedar Manor at 11:30 a.m. Sept.9 following a long illness.

Elizabeth, daughter of James and Eveline Allen Waddell, was born at Shippensburg, Pa., Feb. 17, 1878 and was educated in the Shippensburg schools. She was married to Bruce Herbert Hambright at Clinton Nov. 24, 1898.

They farmed in Cedar county for many years and she has been a resident of the Tipton area since her marriage. She was a member of the Methodist church and the Farm Bureau.

She is survived by 2 sons, Harold, Washington, D.C. and Paul, Bennett, a daughter, Mrs. Howard (Edna) Hamilton, Tipton, 12 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, a son, Wallace Burdette in 1931, 2 brothers and 3 sisters.
