Last rites for Franz Adolph Klavermann, 70, were held at Zion United Church of Christ, Lowden, Sept. 2, with burial in the Lowden cemetery.

Mr. Klavermann died at his home in Lowden early Aug. 31 following a heart attack.

Mr. Klavermann was born in Germany. He married Alma Hensch at Lowden in 1931.

Mr. Klavermann came to the United States in 1925 and farmed in rural Lowden before retiring in 1959.

He is survived by his wife; a son, Frederick, Lowden; a daughter, Mrs. Rueben (Joann) Wenndt, Lowden; 5 grandchildren, and a brother, William, in Germany.

Pallbearers were William Mensing, Arthur Kruckenberg, Harold Ruprecht, John Smelzer, Roland Fox and Rudolph Proesch. Mrs. Erwin Proesch and Mrs. Clarence Wiese were in charge of flowers.
