Funeral services for Edward F. Kintz, 82, West Branch, were held Aug. 16 with the Rev. Elmer Baker officiating. Burial was in the West Branch cemetery.

Mr. Kintz died Aug. 14 at Veterans hospital, Iowa City, following a long illness.

Mr. Kintz was born May 26, 1887, in Cedar Rapids, the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Kintz.

He was a charter member of American Legion in West Branch and had served 25 years with the West Branch Fire Department.

Surviving are a son and daughter; 4 brothers, Roy and Harry, both of West Branch, Charles, Kimballton and William, Racine, Wis., and a sister, Mrs. Gertrude Morford, West Branch.

He was preceded in death by 3 brothers and 6 sisters.
