Final rites for Mrs. Elizabeth (Rixe) Wagner, 85, will be held today (Aug. 21) at the Dye Funeral home, with burial in Rose Hill cemetery, Mechanicsville. The Rev. Robert Yoder, Kalona, will officiate.

Pallbearers were Arnold and David Swan, Harry Wehde, William Thordsen, Carl Bair and Elmer Geadelmann.

Mrs. Wagner died at her home in Tipton Aug. 18.

The daughter of Ernest and Louise Richam Rixe, she was born at Bennett and was educated in the Bennett school. She was married to Forrest Lee Wagner at the South Bethel church Nov. 26, 1910.

She lived at Buchanan for many years and attended the Cedar Bluff church.

She is survived by 2 sons, Forrest, Stanwood and Ervin, Mechanicsville and a daughter, Mrs. Earl (Jessie) Anderson; 2 sisters, Mrs. Frieda Hamilton and Mrs. Clary Carroll, both of Tipton; 13 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, a son, Vernon, 2 brothers, 2 sisters and one grandchild.
