Final rites for Mrs. George Denneny, 82, were held June 2 at the Sheets and Son funeral home in Tipton with the Rev. Everett Isaacs officiating. Burial was in Inland cemetery.

Pallbearers were Virgil Barclay, Jerry Harmel, Darrell Brockmeyer, Delbert Wiese, Sylvan Kleppe and Donald Henricksen. Mrs. Sylvan Kleppe and Mrs. Amanda Hinrichs were in charge of flowers. David Brockmeyer was organist.

Mrs. Denneny died May 31 at the Utopia Nursing home in Tipton following a long illness.

The daughter of Alexander and Mary Elizabeth Montz Barrett, she was born at Bennett Feb. 3, 1887 and was educated in the rural schools of Cedar county.

She was married to George Denneny who preceded her in death.

A lifelong resident of the Bennett area, she was a member of the Bennett Methodist church and a past member of the Royal Neighbors.

She is survived by a sister, Mrs. Charles (Junietta) Brockmeyer, Bennett and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband and 3 brothers.
