Final rites for Mrs. John (Mayme) Buresh, 80, were held at St. Mary church at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 29 with the Rev. Ray Pascha officiating. The requiem high mass was sung by the congregation. Mrs. Reno Droll was the organist.

Pallbearers were John, Larry and Maurice Miller, Dennis Costello and James and Thomas Pelzer, all grandsons. Burial was in St. Mary cemetery.

Mrs. Buresh died at the Cedar Manor Nursing home Oct. 26 following a long illness.

The daughter of Michael and Catherine Tucker Lynch, she was born April 6, 1888 at Cedar Valley and was educated in the rural schools of Cedar county. She was married to John Buresh at St. Joseph's church, Cedar Valley, Jan. 29, 1918.

They farmed in the Tipton area from 1918 to 1947 when they retired and moved to Tipton.

Mrs. Buresh was a member of St. Mary church and St. Bernadette circle of St. Mary Guild.

She is survived by her husband, 3 daughters, Mrs. Leo (Kay) Miller and Mrs. Paul (Marjorie) Pelzer, both of Tipton; and Mrs. Cyril (Helen) Costello, Davenport; 16 grandchildren, a brother, Francis Lynch, Buena Park, Calif., and a sister, Mrs. Walter (Gertrude) Brown, Downey, Calif. She was preceded in death by 3 brothers and 3 sisters.
