Memorial services for Blanche E. Handley, 77, will be held at the Tipton Methodist church at 1:30 p.m. Friday with the Rev. Eugene Miller officiating. Mrs. Irma Crawford is organist. Miss Handley's ashes will be buried at the Tipton Masonic cemetery. The Dye Funeral home is in charge. There will be no visitation at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to the Methodist church missions and the heart fund.

Miss Handley died at University hospital, Iowa City, Nov. 4. She became ill the day before.

The daughter of Calvin Isaac and Nancy E. Van Buren Handley, she was born in Tipton Aug. 15, 1891 and spent her life in the Tipton community. She was employed by the telephone company for many years.

She was a member of the Methodist church and its W.S.C.S., the Eastern Star, the Legion Auxiliary and the Cedar County Historical society.

She is survived by 3 brothers, R. Deane and Charles, both of Tipton and Brady of Solon, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a sister, Mrs. June Witmer, and a brother, Raymond.
