Funeral services for Robert John Davidson, 92, were held in the Stanwood United Presbyterian church Oct. 4. Mr. Davidson died Oct. 1 at the Cedar Manor Nursing home in Tipton where he had been a patient for about a year.

Pallbearers were James Smith, Francis Brown, Arch Davidson, Donald Smith, Elmer Meyer and William H. Davidson. Mrs. Merle Carroll was organist and Mrs. Kenneth Smith and Mrs. Alf Meyer were in charge of flowers. Interment was in the Stanwood cemetery. Services were conducted by the Rev. Ralph Schenck.

Robert John Davidson was born at Stanwood, Sept. 17, 1876, the son of James K. and Margaret McLachlan Davidson. He lived most of his life in the Stanwood community, and farmed the family farm where his son, Edwin now lives. He was active in farming until about two years ago. He farmed near Washington for 12 years.

He is survived by his son, Edwin; a granddaughter, Mrs. Dale Wagner (Ruth), Lenox, a grandson, Robert, at home, his daughter-in-law, Mrs. Edwin Davidson and a son-in-law Dale Hoffman.

He was married to Florence Baker at Stanwood, June 5, 1907.

He was preceded in death by his wife in 1963; a son, Cecil, in infancy; a daughter, Margaret Estelle, and a daughter, Mrs. Dale Hoffman, in 1960.
