Funeral services for Vernon Earnest Wagner, 51, Tipton, were at 1:30 p.m. June 15 in the Dye funeral home with the Rev. I. S. Hayenga officiating. Mrs. Irma Crawford was organist. Pall bearers were Vernon Ramsey, Joseph Ruzek, Francis Ruzek, Dale Rekemeyer, Earl Nighbert and Francis Mahoney.

Wagner was born October 10, 1916. He died June 12 at Veterans hospital, Iowa City.

Survivors are his wife, his mother, Mrs. Elizabeth Rixe Wagner; daughters, Mrs. Richard Furchtenicht, West Branch; Mrs. Donald Brown, jr., and Mrs. Robert Ribelm, both of Topeka, Kan.; Judy, Jane and Debra and a son, Dennis, all at home; 6 grandchildren; brothers Erwin, Mechanicsville and Forrest, Stanwood and a sister, Mrs. Earl Anderson of Tipton.
