Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m., Tuesday, from the Barker Funeral Home in West Branch, with the Rev. Roger Tappmeyer of the West Branch Methodist church officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery, at Cedar Bluff.

Robert L. Howard, 87, a retired Cedar county farmer, died Saturday evening, April 6, in a Tipton nursing home, following an extended illness.

Mr. Howard was born Dec. 25, 1880, at Greenfield, the son of George and Rebecca Lippincott Howard. He never married.

Survivors include a sister, Miss Ethel Howard, Tipton, and several nieces and nephews.
