Funeral services for Arthur Jensen, 88, former West Branch resident, were held Jan. 30 at Bethany Lutheran church, West Branch, with the Rev. William Thalacker officiating. Burial was in the West Branch cemetery.

Mr. Jensen died Jan. 27 at his home in Muscatine.

Mr. Jensen was born June 18, 1879, in Agerstad, Denmark, the son of Anders and Maren Jensen. He came to the United States in 1902 and spent most of his life in West Branch, moving to Muscatine a short time ago.

He married Minnie Anderson in West Branch in 1904. She died in 1952. In 1958, he married Karen Andreason at West Branch. He was a member of Bethany Lutheran church.

Surviving are his wife; 2 daughters, Mrs. Myron (Erma) Ernst, Iowa City and Alice Jensen, Des Moines; 4 sons, William, Edward and Alfred, all of Des Moines, and Harvey, West Branch; 4 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
