Final rites for Mrs. Milo (Lucile) Ahrens, 53, were held at the Sheets and Son funeral home at 1:30 p.m. Jan. 24 with the Rev. Walter Martin officiating. Burial was in the Tipton Masonic cemetery.

Mrs. Erma Kiser was vocalist and Mrs. Irma Crawford organist. Pallbearers were George Kiser, Amos Mohr, Wilbert Norton, Harold Wieck, Clare Neberall and Robert Krestchmer. Mr. and Mrs. Adolph Hansen and Mr. and Mrs. Donald Johnson were in charge of flowers.

Mrs. Ahrens died Jan. 21 at Mercy hospital, Iowa City, following an extended illness.

The daughter of Peter and Clara Margaret (Eichinger) Eiselstein, she was born near Tipton Jan. 25, 1914 and was educated in the rural schools of Cedar county.

She was married to Milo H. Ahrens at West Branch Dec. 7, 1936. The couple farmed for many years south of Tipton, retiring in 1955 and moving to Tipton.

She was a member and Elder of the Sugar Creek Presbyterian church and a member of the Ladies Aid. She was a member of the Sugar Creek Homemakers and active in 4-H work.

She is survived by her husband, 2 daughters, Mrs. Melvin (Ruth) Samuelson, Muscatine and Mrs. Keith (Almamae) Chapman, Tipton; 5 grandchildren, 3 sisters, Mrs. Grace Gerber and Mrs. William (Dora) Wade, Tipton and Mrs. Walter (Margaret) Martin.
