Final rites for John Beierman, 82, were held Dec. 29 at West Liberty with burial in Inland cemetery at Bennett.

Mr. Beierman died Dec. 26 at the Extended Care center at Iowa City after he had been hospitalized for 20 days.

Mr. Beierman was born May 11, 1885 at Sunbury, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Beierman. He was married to Emma Schneider.

He farmed in Cedar county most of his life before retiring to West Liberty 10 years ago.

He is survived by his widow; 2 sons, Glenn and Fred, both of West Branch, and a grandchild.
