Funeral services for John Truman, 81, West Liberty, were held Dec. 2 at West Liberty with the Rev. Elmer Kaker officiating. Burial was at Bethel cemetery near Rochester.

Mr. Truman died at Veterans hospital, Iowa City, Nov. 30, following an extended illness.

He was born June 16, 1886 near Rochester, the son of Charles and Ella Barkhurst Truman.

He was a retired Muscatine and Cedar county farmer and a veteran of World War I.

He was preceded in death by his parents and 2 brothers.
