Funeral services for Herman Holling, 83, Durant, were held Dec. 4 at Durant with the Rev. W. R. Garred officiating. Burial was in the Durant cemetery. Mr. Holling died Dec. 2 at his home in Durant after an extended illness.

He was born Aug. 19, 1884 in Minnesota, the son of John and Minnie Holling. He was a resident of Durant for 36 years.

He married Bertha Frahm on Sept. 1, 1960 at Davenport.

Surviving are his widow, 2 sons, Ralph, Durant and Glen, Bennett; 2 stepdaughters, Mrs. William (Malinda) Staack and Mrs. George (Viola) Reimers, both of Davenport; 2 brothers in California; 2 sisters in Canada; 3 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; 5 step-grandchildren; and 3 step-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by 2 sisters and 8 brothers.
